Have a Party Just for Dad on Father’s Day!

Dads are men; they usually don’t like a lot of frills, but they want something simple if it’s all about them. Focus on simplicity not frills. No Luau themes for Dad.   After all, men are hardwired for the manly side of things, so when remembering dad, consider what he likes! Is he a Golfer? If so throw him a golf outing with the family at the club or local public course, (with a picnic basket in hand). If he’s a football fan, put together a backyard football game and have a “Backyard Barbeque.”

Fix Dad’s favorite foods. For most dad’s, happiness can be found with some grilled burgers and steaks. So, make sure your grill has enough gas and is cleaned! Do dad a favor, do the barbecuing for him of course, unless he really thinks this is his territory. After all, the day is all about DAD!

Here are some menu suggestions:

Goliath Burgers with all the fixings

Ribeyes with homemade steak sauce

Barbecue Chicken breasts

  1. Yep, already waaaaay ahead of you! This year I got several Lolita pilsner glasses for Dad’s Day gifts for each of my brothers-in-law. I made sure to get all different ones because let’s face it: men can get all testy if another guy has the same toy 😉
