Get Inspired to Stay Active!

We all know how hard it is to leave our couch, our favorite Netflix shows, and freshly popped popcorn. However, it’s actually good for you to leave those things behind once in awhile! Sometimes, I lack the motivation to get out of my PJs and get to the gym, but having stylish and fun workout products actually makes me want to get off the couch!

I’m no personal trainer, but I do believe 30 minutes of exercise a day is not only good for you, but also rewarding! Working out consistently also gives me an excuse to buy cute new products for the active woman. So, I’ll share with you some of my favorite workout products that keep me motivated.

1.) Tory Burch for FitBit Metal Bracelet. The FitBit bracelet connects to your smartphone and tracks your steps, calories burned, distance, and allows you to set goals for yourself. Such an incredible idea! Now, Tory Burch is coming out with a stylish bracelet to put your FitBit in so you can cover up the boring black bracelet! Such an awesome product–I’ve already preordered mine!

2.) Citrus Zinger Waterbottle. This water bottle allows you to press lemons, limes, and other citrus fruits directly into your water, creating deliciously flavored drinks that are all-natural and refreshing! A perfect and simple thirst quencher for when you’re exercising!

3.) Lululemon Free To Be Sports Bra. Not only is this sports bra cool looking, but it has the most comfortable material for when you are working out! It’s breathable and sweat absorbent. I love mine!

4.) Clean On Me Shower Gel. Of course you will have to rinse off after sweating! I use this Clean On Me Shower Gel post workout. It leaves you squeaky clean and smelling amazing.

5.) Bliss Lemon and Sage Body Scrub. It’s always good to exfoliate after working out to fully get rid of the sweat! This body scrub smells amazing and leaves your skin SO soft. You just lather it on before hopping in the shower then rinse it off.

6.) Zella “Live In” Perfect Run Capris. These amazing workout capris truly live up to their name. I actually live in these. Yes they are perfect for working out (they’re ventilating and cooling), but they are also so comfortable that I constantly wear them around the house!

7.) Designs By Lolita Yoga Girl Wine Glass. Last but not least is my Yoga Girl Wine Glass. I love Yoga. It gives you balance and the stamina you need to be active. So after an afternoon workout, I highly recommend rewarding yourself with a glass of wine using my Yoga Girl Wine Glass! You’ll never regret exercising this way!

Why I Believe “Wine Wednesday” Should Happen Every Wednesday

The word wine starts with “w” and so does Wednesday–so why not combine the two?! Wednesday is the halfway point of the week, otherwise known as “hump day”. Usually for me at the end of a Wednesday, I sit on my couch and open up a bottle of wine. That bottle gives me the motivation I need to finish the last stretch of my long week. It’s like a trophy of almost making it to the weekend.

It seems that almost every Wednesday I have my feet propped up with a glass of wine in my hand. So I’ve started to establish my Wednesdays as “Wine Wednesdays”. When I wake up that morning (dreading I still have two more days until the weekend) I realize that a bottle of wine will be waiting for me at home because it is Wine Wednesday! It makes the day a little more bearable!

I’ve made it my own little tradition. It’s nice to have only simple decisions when I come home from a long hump day, those being “Red or White?” and “Which Lolita Wine Glass should I use?” So tonight, I will be doing just that and I highly suggest that you do the same!

Travel to Your Favorite Place Without Leaving Your House!

Take your guests to your home state, city, or just your favorite place with a fun themed party! Whether or not you live there, it is so much fun to set up a party using the unique qualities and styles from your chosen place.

For example, if you are celebrating Tennessee (using my new Tennessee Wine Glass of course!), decorate with Elvis mementos (a classic Elvis cutout would do!), guitars, and string lights. Tennessee is a state known for its music—therefore, play some B.B. King, Elvis, or your favorite country music. Justin Timberlake is from Tennessee, that counts too right?! Also don’t forget to serve what Tennessee is especially famous for, BBQ… and maybe even Elvis’ favorite fried peanut butter and banana sandwiches!

Mini Glass Ornaments – So many uses and “oh so adorable!”

When you read the word “ornament” you probably associate it with the holidays. However, my Mini Glass Ornaments come in a wide variety of non-holiday themes and have so many uses for throughout the year!

Here are just a few simple ideas:

• They dress up any gift bag or wrapped gift box in an instant! Simply fasten to a gift with a ribbon or a bow.

• At the next party you host, you can have a tray of tiny shots poured in, none other than, my Mini Ornaments.

• They make for a great party favor at a Last Night Out party or at a shower! All you have to do is fill them with mini candies and wrap each with tulle, and tie a bow with a pretty ribbon…that’s it!

• They are also a cute desk ornament at the office (sans alcohol of course!) Remember to keep it professional! 😉

• I also like to place mini floral bouquets in them (baby’s breath and violets or mini roses) and line them up on windowsills or place individual ones containing a mini bouquet in unexpected locations throughout my home…it makes for a nice surprise when I have guests visiting my home.

In my opinion, there’s no better therapy than retail therapy—especially when you don’t have to leave the house. Online shopping is my favorite thing to do after coming home from a long day of brainstorming new glass designs! I pour myself a glass of wine in my Shopaholic,Too glass, get out my credit card, and go online to my favorite stores…

Below are a few online stores help people think I’m a certified fashionista!

ShopBop: ShopBop is an all-encompassing website that ranges from designer shoes, to clothes, to jewelry—and everything in between. Although it might be a little pricey, it’s always good to splurge sometimes! One thing that I have in my closet is the Fierra dress by Alice + Olivia. It’s a simple little number that can go with anything you already own.

RueLaLa: I’ve never found better deals than at RueLaLa. By signing up to be a member, you receive exclusive discounts and deals on designer brands. Seriously, there are such good prices that this website becomes absolutely addicting! The app makes it even easier to shop on the go—especially on my short breaks during the day. The brands that RueLaLa carries changes daily, so there’s always something new to fall in love with.

Threadflip: Vintage clothes are always fun to shop for, especially without digging through thrift stores. Threadflip is a website where people sell unwanted clothes from their closets, resulting in discounts from 50-90 percent off the original prices. You can find designer clothes and one-of-a-kind pieces to add to your wardrobe. I have even found a Chanel purse that was marked down by 70 percent! Not only do you get access to great finds, but great deals as well!

Paradise in a Glass

Kick off the summer right with my favorite summer martini recipe! This drink goes perfectly with my Hibiscus Martini Glass or Hawaii Wine Glass, along with a waterfront view and a sunset. It’s a great addition for an outdoor party or just simply lounging the day away. I remember first trying this recipe in Hawaii, and now every time I use it I think of the beach bar with the beautiful hibiscus flowers surrounding me. Recipe:

1 ounce (30 ml) vodka

0.35 ounce (10 ml) passion-fruit liqueur

0.35 ounce (10 ml) cranberry juice

0.35 ounce (10 ml) pineapple juice

Champagne

1 strawberry, for garnish

Directions: Place the vodka, passion-fruit liqueur, cranberry juice, and pineapple juice in a shaker and shake well. Strain the cocktail into a martini glass and top off with champagne. Garnish with the strawberry.

Host a Girly Mani Pedi Party! [But Paint BEFORE you pour!]

A trip down memory lane brings me to the joyful memories of a best friend or multiple close friends being dropped off at my house on Friday evening for a weekend filled with fun, girly activities! From watching chick flicks and drooling over the lead actors, to eating popcorn, playing with each others hair and makeup, and painting each others nails.

Why should we ever outgrow such carefree and innocent moments like these? Treat your adult self and your now adult friends to a grownup version of a Girly Mani Pedi Night In, complete with wine!
